Baragars Road closed until Oct. 8

The Municipality of Hastings Highlands is advising the public that Baragars Road at Papineau Creek remains closed.

They said the municipality is working to get materials needed to complete a culvert replacement.

In the meantime, there is no through traffic permitted and no detours.

A total fire ban along the road also remains in effect.

Tree removal has been scheduled for tomorrow and the culvert replacement has been scheduled to start on Oct. 1.

The municipality is anticipating the work will be done by Oct. 8.
