Mineral Capital Concerts returning to Bancroft starting July 8

Bancroft’s Mineral Capital Concerts will soon bring live music to Millennium Park every Wednesday.

Concert committee chair Kim Crawford said she’s excited for this year’s concert lineup, and they have a good variety of genres.

“We try to keep it local as much as possible, so most of the bands, about 90 per cent are from Bancroft or have a local Bancroft connection, and we do have maybe one or two out-of-towners,” she said.

She added Bancroft has so much talent, and they usually have more bands interested than spots available.

Though they aim for no repeats year-to-year, Crawford said the local Canadian Tall Boys have become a staple and have kicked off the concert series’ opening night for the last few years, and will do so again July 8.

The free concerts are family- and pet-friendly.

A schedule of performers is available at mineralcapitalconcerts.ca.
