Highlands East Council asked to consider defibrillators in two schools

Two elementary schools in Highlands East could be getting defibrillators next year.

The Trillium Lakelands District School Board has asked municipal council to support buying units for the schools in Cardiff and Wilberforce. A report shows the cost would be $5,300 for two defibrillators.

The request was passed onto Haliburton County for further consideration. The report also states the request for money to purchase both units will be brought up at a county council meeting in February.
