Yakabuski calls for feedback on minimum wage increase

Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP John Yakabuski will be travelling with a committee looking for the public’s feedback on the minimum wage increase.
Yakabuski says he’s already heard from local businesses and seniors in the riding on how the increase will impact them.

He says it’s important local businesses weigh in on the changes as the committee will be making stops in Ottawa and Kingston this summer in eastern Ontario.
Yakabuski says it’s a sensitive issue as even though it will help many at the earning level of minimum wage positively, it could have a rippling effect on seniors with fixed incomes and small businesses.
