The municipality of Highlands East has received a quote of $80,000 to blast the hill on Parquin Trail.
Economic Development and Business Coordinator Curtis Tighe says the trail will be blasted from Billings Lake Road to Lakeshore Road in Gooderham to make it smoother for riders.
Councillor Joan Barton says $40,000 is in the budget to fix the slope problem on the trail which covers 50 percent of the cost.
Barton has asked Eastern Ontario Trails to match the money so they can complete the project.
Councillors will be getting a second quote for the project.
