Information about which town-owned properties can be declared surplus and sold will be presented to Bancroft Council today.
This is part of Council’s meeting. Three properties are listed which could be declared surplus, while staff are being asked for further research on eight more. Council had asked staff to look into the idea as a way for the town to make money.
The Ontario Clean Water Agency has also sent a letter to the town of Bancroft in response to a request of it save the town money. Council had sent a request to contractor of the town’s water and sewer systems, asking that it save the town $100,000 on the services this year.
Today’s open session of Bancroft Council’s meeting gets underway at 10:00am at Club 580.
