Students in Haliburton County could start getting suspended from school if their vaccination records aren’t up-to-date.
That’s the message from the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit, which says it is sending suspension orders starting this week. Families that get the letters need to call the health unit to update their children’s vaccination records at 1-866-888-4577 extension 1507.
Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health is giving students in North Hastings until April 21st to update their immunization records or face suspensions.
Two vaccination clinics will also be held in Bancroft next week. The first clinic, which is only open to elementary and secondary students, will be held at North Hastings High School from noon until 6:00pm next Thursday, April 20th. Another will be held next Friday, April 21st, at 1P Manor Lane 8:30am until 12:00pm, then again from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.
