MNRF reminds residents about potential flooding near local waterways

The Bancroft District of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is reminding you a flood watch is in effect around some local waterways. The MNRF says there is the potential for flooding the York, Burnt, and Irondale rivers.

The Crowe Valley Conservation Authority has also issued a flood watch for its local waterways.

The MNRF says water levels could continue to rise because of melting snow and recent rain.

A flood outlook statement remains in effect for the rest of the Bancroft area, which is an early notice for the potential of flooding.
