Hastings-Lennox and Addington’s MP says a federal budget announcement will make healthcare more accessible.
Over the next 10 years, the budget has $6-billion set aside to make home healthcare services more accessible across Canada.
Bossio says this is an important move which will strengthen Canada’s universal healthcare system to meet the needs of Canadian families, and benefit rural communities. He says about 15 per cent of the country’s hospital beds are filled by people who would get better treatment at home.
