A wing at North Hastings Hospital has been named after Choices Thrift & Gift Shop. It’s been named the Volunteers of Choices Thrift Shop Physiotherapy Department.
President Shelley Brown says that’s because the store has donated a total of $379,000 to the North Hastings Fund Development Committee since 1991. The store has managed to raise $40,000 for the committee this year.
Brown says the money was raised by selling clothing, which was donated to the store by the community.
