Wollaston Council to present draft budget tonight

Wollaston residents can find out about the township’s draft 2017 budget tonight.
The township says the draft operating budget could include a 1.6 per cent increase to property taxes. Treasurer Verna Brundage says that equals out to an increase of just over $20 a year for a property assessed at $100,000.
Wollaston Council is holding a public meeting tonight to present the budget, which happens at 6:00pm at the Coe Hill Legion. Brundage says council could approve the budget at its next meeting on April 25th, or the one after on May 9th.
