Local snowmobile clubs and trails groups are trying to cut down on damage and rutting on eastern Ontario’s extensive trail system.
Madawaska Valley’s Community and Recreation Coordinator Paul Nopper says those groups are asking anyone on off-road or four-by-four vehicles to stay off the trails in the coming weeks. He says the idea is to prevent any further damage or rutting during the thaw which could impact the summer season.
Local trails groups and clubs use this time to address damage and make repairs.
