Local MNRF no longer considers flooding a risk in the Bancroft area

The flood warning for the York and Madawaska rivers has been lifted.

Throughout April, the Bancroft District of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry had issued the warning for the rivers. Technical Specialist Luke Hillyer says flooding is no longer considered a risk at this time.

The MNRF has also lifted the flood watch for the Gull River, and the flood outlook statement for the rest of the Bancroft area. The Crowe Valley Conservation Authority has removed the flood watch for its area as well.
