The average ages in Bancroft, Hastings Highlands, and Wollaston are all over Hasting County’s, the province’s, and the country’s.
That’s according to results from the 2016 Census, showing the average age in Bancroft is just under 49 years old. Of that number, over 56 per cent of the population is between 15 and 64 years old. Almost 13 per cent of the population is under 15, and just shy of 31 per cent is 65 and up.
The Census shows the average age in Hastings Highlands is just over 49. Over 58 per cent of the population is between the age of 15 and 64. Just shy of 13 per cent is under 15, and almost 29 per cent is 65 and up.
In Wollaston, the average age is just under 51. Almost 62 per cent of the population is between the age of 15 and 64 years old, while just over 28 per cent is 65 and up, and less than 10 per cent is under 15.
