Ministry of Municipal Affairs Making Stop in Maynooth to Talk Flood Relief

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs will be making a stop in Hastings Highlands on Monday to talk flood relief.

CAO Pat Pilgrim says residents along Lake Kamaniskeg and on the York River impacted by flooding should consider attending the public meeting.

You can apply for province’s Disaster Recovery Assistance Program and receive 80 per cent funding up to total costs of $250,000.

The ministry says it’s important to keep accurate records of spending for repairs or clean up and to apply sooner rather than later, as requests are filled on a first-come first-serve basis.

The meeting is set for 6:00pm in Hastings council chambers in Maynooth.
