The Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health unit will be in Bancroft this evening to talk opioids and the danger they pose.
The health unit says the fentanyl is deadly, even in small amounts and is becoming a larger problem as it can also be found combined with other drugs.
They’ll be talking safety for families in their children, raising awareness and making education for residents a top priority as part of an effect to tackle the problem in a pro-active way.
The info session begins at 5:30 this evening at Club 580.
The health unit says it will also have naloxone on hand, a drug used to counteract the effects of an opioid overdose.
