Police: Don’t leave kids and pets in hot cars

The weather is heating up, and police are urging you to never leave kids or pets inside a hot car during the summer months.

Bancroft OPP Constable Philippe Regamey says leaving them inside your vehicle can be dangerous, even if the windows are down.

The weather network reports the temperature in a vehicle can go up to around 85 degrees Celsius during the summer months.

The province says, if you come across a vehicle with a child or an animal inside, you should report it to police immediately.
