Over 50 people have been charged by the Killaloe OPP for speeding over the course of a single weekend.
Over the OPP’s Canada Day Weekend speeding blitz, 54 drivers were handed speeding tickets. The campaign ran from Friday to Monday.
Police are reminding you to expect to see officers enforcing posted speed limits, which is something they take very seriously.
This comes as the OPP is reporting speeding is the number one cause of death on Ontario’s road’s this year. The number of deaths caused by speeding has gone up 76 per cent since this time last year.
