Overall, North Hastings has had more rain this summer than average

This summer has definitely been a bit rainier than usual.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Peter Kimbell says, between June and July, the North Hastings area was hit with about 20 more millimetres of rain than usual.

However, Kimbell points out that the region was only hit with 69 millimetres of rain in July.

Kimbell goes on to say June was definitely rainier than most years.

Kimbell says it’s hard to predict how much rain the month of August will bring to the area. The average rainfall for the month of August is 79 millimetres, with a temperature of about 17 degrees.
