Bancroft Public Library’s Seed Bank has gotten quite a bit bigger after an anonymous donation.
This month, thousands of seed packets have been given to the library, for things like corn, peas, tomatoes, and melons.
CEO Chris Stephenson says the Seed Library has been running since last year, which lends seeds out to Bancroft residents heading into gardening season. The library only asks that people try to save the seeds after the harvest, and bring them back to be stored until the next season.
Resources are also available at the library to help new and seasoned gardeners.
