Free day-use being offered at local provincial parks

Day use access at all of Ontario Parks, including Silent Lake and Algonquin provincial parks, will be free tomorrow.

Ontario Parks says it will be waiving day use fees between 7:00am and 10:00pm tomorrow in order to encourage people to get outdoors.

This comes at the midway point of the 30×30 Challenge, which is encouraging Ontarians to spend a half hour outside every day during the month of August. Ontario Park says the goal is to get people to reconnect with nature, along with improving their health and mental well-being.
