Mild weather may be good for local snowmobile trails

After a cold stretch, the mild temperatures may be just what trail groomers need to get the snowmobiling season started.

That’s according to President of the Opeongo Snowbirds Snowmobile Club Cheryl Reid, who says that the extreme cold weather made the snow very dry.

Reid says that with warmer weather, the heavier snow will help trail groomers.
