The free services of Hospice North Hastings and their fundraising efforts were the subject of a presentation made to Bancroft Council on Tuesday. Spokesperson Barb Shaw and Executive Director Heather Brough (Pro: Bruff) talked the council through the services that Hospice offers. Shaw presented the latest effort Hospice has engaged to educate the public about their services, a series of four “rack” cards. Each card covers one area of service offered: Residential hospice, Home visiting services, Caregiver supports and the medical equipment loan program. Brough and Shaw also reviewed their many fundraising efforts as Hospice is not funded by any government.
