A Public Hearing was held at Bancroft Town Council yesterday in regards to a by-law which will raise water rates for Bancroft. There was no opposition expressed to the rate increase, but the County of Hastings did offer its support in favour of raising the rates. The increase will be two percent, but does not reflect any increase in the rates for waste water treatment. Rates for waste water treatment will be coming at a later date.
