Members of the Haliburton OPP will be lacing up their skates against some tough competition. Officers will be playing in several hockey games against local area Grade 8 Trillium Lakelands elementary school students. The games have been an annual tradition for more than 20 years, giving students, and the officers, a chance to have fun together and build relationships. The public is encouraged to come out and cheer on the students and enjoy watching the officers being sent to the penalty box.
The games are scheduled for the following dates:
OPP vs. J. Douglas Hodgson Elementary School Friday February 20th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the A. J. Larue Arena, Haliburton
OPP vs Wilberforce Elementary School Friday March 6th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Keith Tallman Memorial Arena, Wilberforce
OPP vs Archie Stouffer Elementary School Thursday March 12th from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the S.G. Nesbitt Arena, Minden
