Appeal Hearing to be Held in Faraday About Proposed Freymond Quarry

The Local Planning Advisory Tribunal will hold a hearing on July 17th at Faraday’s municipal office.

The proposed Freymond quarry was approved four to one by the Township in February before being approved by Hastings County in late June.

Founder of Grail Springs Spa Madeleine Marentette tells My Bancroft Now that while it’s not set in stone, they plan on keeping David Donnelly as their lawyer for their appeals case against Faraday. She adds that they are still looking to retain lawyer Eric Gillespie for their potential appeal against the County. She says he is currently reviewing the case and will get back to them. When that happens, Marentette says No Place for a Quarry’s board of directors will meet to figure out what the plan of action will be.

The meeting is scheduled for 10:30 AM. Clerk Dawn Switzer says the meeting will be open to the public.

When reached for comment, Lou Freymond says he and representatives from the Freymond family will attend the meeting.
