For the first time since July, there are no active cases of COVID-19 being reported by Hastings-Prince Edward Public Health.
The last positive lab-confirmed case to be reported by Public Health was on September 5th. Between August 15th and September 5th, seven new cases were reported by the health unit. That came after nearly two months of no new cases popping up between Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.
A total of 54 cases of the virus have been reported by Public Health since the pandemic began. Of those, 49 people have recovered and five have died.
Public Health has done 28,894 swabs as of Friday morning.
