United Way Hastings Prince Edward has announced what they call an ambitious fundraising goal for 2021.
The organization has announced they want to raise $1.95 million in the next 19 weeks. The campaign already has $425,000 committed, which is 22% of the total goal.
At the campaign launch in Belleville, United Way Executive Director Brandi Hodge announced that Sheri Meeks, an Inspector with the Belleville Police Service, will chair the campaign. Hodge says her experience and consistency would benefit the campaign.
The United Way funds a number of organizations in the Bancroft area, like North Hastings Community Cupboard, Bancroft Community Transit, North Hastings Community Trust, and North Hastings Children’s Services.
