Those who want to learn more about the 2SLGBTQ+ community will be able to do so this month.
United Way Hastings-Prince Edward, North Hastings Children’s Services, and the Bancroft Family Health Team are putting on the H.E.R.O., or Helping Educate Regarding Orientation event. The event will happen at the Child and Youth Hub on Thursday, June 23rd.
Sarah Pheonix, Youth and Family Support Manager with Children’s Services, says it is an opportunity for open dialogue, questions and information. The session is intended for adult allies, parents and caregivers of youth who are questioning and curious about the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Phoenix adds the event is for those who care about youth and want some questions answered.
