Music for Warmth show will support North Hastings Community Trust

A heartwarming show will rock the Village Playhouse later this month.

Music for Warmth will play at the theatre on Saturday, March 25. It’s a fundraiser for North Hastings Community Trust, which is running a new overnight shelter.

The show features The Bravery Shakes, The Salt Cellars, Albert Saxby and Bucket of Shrimp Ears.

Bravery Shakes singer Brandon Humphrey said he wanted to do something to support Bancroft, as he grew up here.

“We just wanted to do something for the community. It was more about giving back to Bancroft,” he says. “I love Bancroft. We look forward to this one and future shows; this won’t be the last one, for sure.”

The show is also his way of saying thanks to a community who embraced him, as he began to play music.

“Not only is it a beautiful place and a beautiful place to make music, but the people there are next level when it comes to how accepting they are,” he says. “They just want you do good. There are not a lot of music scenes (where people) want to see you do better. That was huge for me as a young guy and I’ve taken that everywhere.”

Music for Warmth is a pay-what-you-can show, with a suggested ticket price of $25. More details, including how to purchase tickets, are here
