The Beavers at Bird’s Creek Public School are busy getting ready for the return of their fun fair next month.
It takes place Wednesday, May 10 from 5 to 7:15 p.m. at the elementary school at 33 South Baptiste Lake Road just west of Highway 62.
The fair is an annual fundraising tradition, but it hasn’t happened lately due to COVID. There will be tonnes of family fun activities on the night, plus a silent auction, raffle and barbecue.
Bird’s Creek students, who are nicknamed Beavers, will soon be taking raffle tickets home to sell to community members. Funds raised will help the school with transportation, technology and access to theatrical and musical performances.
The school encourages community groups that want to contribute to the fair to reach out.
