A barbecue at Canadian Tire on Friday was raising money for a good cause, but if you missed it there’s still opportunities to donate.
During June, the retailer raises funds for its Jumpstart charity. Jumpstart helps families in need pay for sports programs and other physical activities.
Store manager Norma Jean Strohmayer said that money raised locally will go to local families.
Families can donate or apply for funding online at jumpstart.canadiantire.ca. The funds they receive can be used for sign up costs or for vouchers for sport equipment at the store.
Customers can also donate at the till through June.
