Bancroft OPP has charged a Carlow-Mayo man, following an investigation into a past sexual assault.
The man, aged 25, has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching on a person under 16 years old.
Police say that allegations of a “historic sexual assault in Hastings Highlands” were reported to OPP, triggering the investigation.
The accused remains in custody.
