Killaloe OPP is investigating its second suspected drowning death of the summer.

Police say a 40-year-old man from Nigeria died on Wednesday, Aug. 2.

Police say that CPR was performed on the man, but despite the lifesaving efforts he was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.

Police also says “the Office of the Chief Coroner has been engaged, and a postmortem has been ordered. The death has been ruled as non-suspicious at this time.”

The death occurred four days after an 18 year old from Madawaska Valley died in a suspected drowning in nearby Dam Lake.
