Ontario Health launches new “East Region Virtual Care” online clinic

People all over Eastern Ontario can now access healthcare from the comfort of their homes.

Ontario Health has launched a new initiative called the “East Region Virtual Care Clinic,” an online service that lets people speak with a nurse practitioner either over the phone or through a video chat.

According to the website for the program, the region it serves “spans from Pickering to Ottawa and Kingston to Pembroke,” and can refer patients to local healthcare providers.

The program is funded by the Ministry of Health, and appointments are available seven days a week from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
