A big dent in the waiting list for North Hastings Children’s Services

Thirty-nine new childcare spaces are opening up later this month as North Hastings Children’s Services (NHCS) breaks ground on an addition at its early years centre on Hastings Heritage Way.

CEO Jessica Anderson told MyBancroftNow 24 preschool and 15 toddler spaces are opening up.

There are 150 children on a wait list.

NHCS is the only licensed child care provider in the seven northern townships and municipalities of Hastings County.

Applications follow a waitlist policy and can be submitted at: Children’s Centre Application Form — North Hastings Children’s Services.

Anderson said children will be enrolled in the new spaces in early spring.
