110 bags of food, cash donations collected at ‘Cram the Cruiser’

A recent food drive highlighted the strong spirit of giving within the Central Hastings community and demonstrated the ongoing commitment of residents to help those in need.

That’s according to Central Hastings OPP Auxiliary Unit, which teamed up with Madoc Foodland for the annual ‘Cram the Cruiser’ food drive.

Held earlier this month, 110 bags of food and $300 in cash donations was collected.

Auxiliary unit personnel said the support was outstanding and they thanked everyone who stopped by to make a donation.

OPP adds that it is always looking for community-minded volunteers to join its auxiliary program. Auxiliary members play an important role in supporting community events, public education, and crime prevention initiatives throughout the communities they serve.
