Health unit offers safe cooking tips this Thanksgiving

The Peterborough County-City Health Unit is cautioning cooks about the importance of food safety this Thanksgiving.

Health unit Manager of Inspection Services Atul Jain says you should keep poultry like turkey in a spill-proof bag or container after you buy it and never unthaw it at room temperature.
