The Dysart fire department responded to a brush fire just outside of Haliburton on Peninsula Drive Road yesterday just before three o’clock.
Fire Chief Miles Maughan says the fire was caused by some dumping ashes into dry leaves, which would have been sitting there for 24 hours.
He says there was very little damage caused by the flames.
