Residents and cottage owners in Haliburton County’s Universal Road are asking the municipality to provide road maintenance to the area during the winter months.
The effort is being put forth by Camp Northern Lights and two road groups.
The president of the Rockliff Road Assocation says 75 per cent of cottagers use their properties during the colder seasons.
The C-A-O of Highlands East says that it would cost the municipality about ten thousand dollars to keep the road plowed for the 53 properties in the area.
