The Public Works Department has created a formula when it comes to the cost of staff hours required for local events.
Director of Public Works Perry Kelly says the staff time, cost of the equipment, and cost for set-up and tear-down is all factored in.
Kelly gives us an idea of what that would look like based on the Wheels, Water and Wings festival.
Kelly says the formula is to identify the true cost of events in town, and will also be used when adding up the municipal expenses for the Rally of the Tall Pines and Canada Day.
