Bancroft Council could approve the town’s 2017 budget today.
A Bancroft Council meeting is happening today, where a vote on the budget will be held.
Interim Treasurer Arthur Smith says the budget includes a 2.11 per cent increase to property tax increase. This would add up to around $55 a year for a property owner with a home assessed at $153,000, the median assessment in Bancroft.
Today’s open session of Bancroft council starts at 10:00am at Club 580.
