The number of homes sold in the Bancroft area in August has seen a year-over-year drop.
That’s according to the Bancroft and Area Association of Realtors, which reports the 34 homes sold last month represents an almost 21 per cent year-over-year decrease. President Marilyn Dillon says these home sale trends are running in-line with the 10-year average for the month of August.
The average price of a home in August was just shy of $230,000, a 2.6 per cent decline from last year.
At the end of the month, homes were expected to spend just over five months on the market before being sold.
