Flood warning no longer in effect across most of the Bancroft area

A water safety statement is now in effect across the Bancroft area.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has issued the statement, downgrading the area from the flood warning which was in effect earlier this week.

The statement is an indicator that water flows could be dangerous for boaters, anglers and swimmers, but flooding isn’t expected. The MNRF is asking you to be cautious near fast-moving rivers and streams, and when using forest access roads.

A flood warning remains in effect for the Gull River and the Crowe Valley Conservation Authority’s area.
