Madawaska Valley works to make its high school safer

Madawaska Valley’s Operations Department will be on site at Madawaska Valley District High School this week as the township has plans to make improvements to its entranceway.
The Renfrew County and District School Board has been working with the township to expand the roadway, possibly install new culverts, and address safety issues which have been raised by parents.
The work could cost up to $80,000, which is not part of the municipality’s roads plan or budget.
Operations and the school board will continue to iron out details together moving forward.
