Love will be in the air on Wednesday, and Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health wants you to be sexually healthy.
The health unit is promoting this message with Valentine’s Day right around the corner. It also comes during Sexual and Reproductive Health Week. Public Health Nurse Jennifer Ronan says part of the message is that some women under 25 could be able to get free medication they couldn’t afford before.
If a baby is in your plans, the health unit also wants you to make healthy choices. Ronan says this includes starting to take prenatal vitamins to make sure you have a health pregnancy.
