You can bet that the Bancroft Curling Club will be a fun place this Saturday night.
The North Hastings Fund Development Committee is getting ready to host its “North of 007 Casino Royale” fundraiser. It supports the Back the Cat campaign; a mission to bring a CT scanner to North Hastings Hospital.
Some tickets remain for the $100 event.
The committee’s Emma Kearns says it will be a special night with great food, dancing and games, all with a James Bond theme. The event starts with a red-carpet entrance at 6 p.m.
“We’re going to have blackjack, roulette, a craps table,” she says. “There’s no cash involved (in the casino games) so all the winnings you do get are put towards prizes. And the prizes we have are unbelievable.”
For tickets, you can contact Kearns at Century 21 in Bancroft. The Back the Cat campaign is in the midst of efforts to raise a final $300,000 in an overall $2.5 million goal.
