As we flip our day calendars to June 21, note that there’s a few special things about this day.  

June 21 is recognized as National Indigenous People’s Day in Canada. It’s also the summer solstice, meaning, it’s the first day of summer and the longest day of the year.  

Federal government astrology data says summer officially begins at 10:57 a.m. And according to Environment Canada, the sun will not set over Bancroft until 9:01 p.m. on Wednesday night.
