The North of 007 Casino Royale fundraiser was a big winner.
The June 10 event at the Bancroft Curling Club raised about $60,000 for the Back the Cat campaign.
It was in support of the North Hastings Fund Development Committee’s campaign to bring a CT scanner to North Hastings Hospital.
Earlier this year, the committee announced that just $300,000 more is needed to reach the overall $2.5 million goal.
In a statement, event organizers Leslie Cox and Cathy Levia said, “it was humbling to witness the generosity and giving spirit that is deeply embedded within this community.”
“It is clear that our hospital holds a special place in the hearts of both permanent and seasonal residents, and we can’t thank everyone enough for their support.”
