A 12 year old boy has died as a result of a car accident in Highlands East. Just before 8pm last night, Bancroft OPP responded to the call where a Volkswagen Beetle was in the ditch. A 44 year old male was driving with the 12 year old boy and a 9 year old boy in the car. Both the driver and the nine year old sustained non-life threatening injuries. The names of the people involved are not being released as the investigation is ongoing. The car was the only one involved in the crash.
